Four stages from opportunity to operations

  1. Identify and validate. Screen the opportunity, confirm ownership and access, review historic data, assess logistics and define the initial commercial case.

  2. Test and design. Complete representative sampling, mineralogy, metallurgical testwork and pilot work; define the flowsheet, recovery, target product specification and waste strategy.

  3. Structure and build. Agree the partnership model, complete detailed engineering and permitting, secure funding, procure equipment and build the modular facility.

  4. Operate and market. Commission and ramp up the plant, manage product quality, maintain reliable operations, coordinate sales and progressively deliver waste and remediation outcomes.

Indicative execution pathway

Phase 1 | Development and validation

Scoping, data review, site visit, representative bulk sampling, mineralogy, laboratory and pilot testwork, preliminary flowsheet, logistics modelling, product assessment and initial offtake engagement.

Phase 2 | Engineering, agreements and funding

Detailed flowsheet and engineering, commercial agreements, permitting pathway, EPC/M contracting, civils design, financing, target product specifications and offtake term sheets.

Phase 3 | Build, commission and ramp up

Equipment manufacture, site works, installation, commissioning, operator training, ramp-up, product qualification and first revenue.

FeCycle is targeting approximately 15 months from Final Investment Decision (FID) to first revenue. Actual timing depends on testwork, partner approvals, permitting, financing, site readiness, logistics and supply-chain conditions.

Flexible commercial structures

Build-Own-Operate (BOO) or joint venture

FeCycle funds, builds, owns and operates the facility. The partner contributes the asset, feedstock and operating interfaces. Project cash flows are shared under an agreed structure.

Reprocessing as a Service

FeCycle develops and operates the facility under a long-term service arrangement with per-tonne, throughput and/or performance-based economics.

Hybrid or licensing

A project may begin as a service or pilot structure and evolve into a joint venture, licence, acquisition option or other bespoke model as technical and commercial confidence increases.

The structure is selected to fit ownership, risk allocation, accounting treatment, funding requirements, product marketing and the asset owner’s preferred level of control.
